Thermaltake Release the New Northbridge Cooler
Extreme Spirit II (CL-C0034)
May 2006 -

–
The Northbridge chipset controls the data transfer
to the CPU, RAM, and video card. If the Northbridge
chipset overheats, the system will be very unstable
and may crash randomly. In order to reduce the
problem of overheating on the Northbridge chipset,
upgrades are necessary for the thermal solution on
top of the chipset. Thermaltake Technology recently
released a new heatsink specifically made for the
Northbridge chipset. The all-copper heatpipe
construction of the heatsink has the best thermal
efficiency on the market. With a low-noise blue LED
fan, the DIY computer enthusiasts will be able to
decorate their system with this new unit.
The Extreme Spirit II heatsink
utilizes an all-copper construction with
Thermaltake’s precision soldering technology,
bonding the heatpipe, copper base, and the fins
seamlessly. The thermal efficiency is maximized as
the bonds are made seamlessly through our precision
soldering methods. The Extreme Spirit II utilizes a
40x40x10mm silent fan with decibel rating of only
19dBA. One will not be able to hear the fan above
the other components within the system at all.
Different from the current
market Northbridge heatsinks, the Extreme Spirit II
utilizes a universal mechanism, including the
mounting holes and anchor clip design. Gamers and
enthusiasts with all platforms will be able to use
the Extreme Spirit II in their computer system
without much trouble. Last but not least, the
Extreme Spirit II is adjustable, thus the user can
aim and direct the Extreme Spirit II into the
optimal position.
