Thermaltake Technology is proud to announce the
launch of the new Matrix VX specifically designed
for LAN (local area network) parties. The Matrix VX
focuses heavily on weight, appearance, and cooling
capabilities – all of which are extremely important
for a LAN party chassis.
The Matrix VX features a lightweight
all-aluminum chassis. Unlike the standard aluminum
chassis out there that may seem feeble and fragile,
the aluminum of the Matrix VX is thicker than the
market standard and designed to provide maximum
durability against the elements during the frequent
transportations that LAN party chassis often
endures. Even with the durability that the Matrix VX
is designed for, it is still extremely light,
weighing in at 3.8kg (8.4lbs). The incredible light
weight allows for a fully outfitted and assembled
system in the Matrix VX to be lighter than most of
the empty chassis in the market.
A chassis cannot be qualified as a
LAN party chassis if the external appearance does
not look appealing enough to the gamers and
enthusiasts. The Matrix VX features a complete front
mesh panel for a crisp and modern look. The complete
mesh panel not only features excellent cooling, it
also features dust filtering for all the incoming
cold air – a true example for the concept of
functionality is beauty. The Matrix VX also did not
leave out the ability to show off the extravagant
system components inside the chassis. With a
generous and obstruction-free windowed side panel,
the Matrix VX will be able to display the internals
of the system at the LAN party with pride.
LAN parties can be a very hot place, with
up to hundreds of computers running at the same
time, LAN party chassis need to run as cool as they
can in order to keep the performance as great as the
skills of the gamers. The solid aluminum
construction of the Matrix VX not only dissipates
heat passively throughout the whole chassis, the two
120mm intake and exhaust fans never stop working to
keep the components as cool as possible at all
times.
As usual, the Matrix VX is just as
convenient as all the Thermaltake chassis in that
there are two USB2.0 ports, one IEEE1394 jack,
audio, and microphone jacks right in the front panel
of the chassis. The Matrix VX will be extremely easy
to set up during a LAN party since the keyboard,
mouse, and audio devices are all able to be
connected in the front without having to route them
towards the back of the system.
Thermaltake Technology is taking LAN party
chassis to a whole new level with the Matrix VX. The
light weight, durability, sleek appearance, cooling
ability, and convenience of the Matrix VX all
combine together to make it a unique and
one-of-a-kind chassis for the modern gaming and
enthusiast industry.
